The Casa Social Creator House is a luxury content creator retreat experience at an oceanfront villa complete with private chef meals, workshops, content shoots, and private wellness & destination experiences like in-villa yoga, a cacao ceremony, and a boat tour. This retreat is designed specifically for creators wanting to get into hotel & airbnb content creation, travel to a stunning island in the Mexican Caribbean, and to connect with an intentionally selected community of like-minded, creative and entrepreneurial other women.

This year, the retreat will take place:

  • At Casa Vaya Vida, an oceanfront luxury villa on the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico for 5 nights & 6 days

  • Check-in: Tuesday, April 20, 2027 at 3pm

  • Check-out: Sunday, April 25, 2027 at 10am

ABOUT YOUR RETREAT HOST

The Casa Social Creator House retreat will be hosted by Ilyanna Flores-Alvarez, founder of Casa Social & a creator and social media manager for travel, tourism, and hospitality brands.

Throughout her social media/content career, she’s captured content for a variety of hotels and airbnbs across Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, and the US., has been the social media manager for travel & hospitality brands such as Tempe Tourism and Couchsurfing, and has worked on content projects for brands including Tripadvisor’s Cruise Critic, Insta360, and Airalo.

As someone who is both a creator that works with brands on content, as well as a marketer on the brand side having worked with influencers and creators, she has a unique perspective on what both sides are looking for when it comes to partnership and project success in this social marketing and content industry.

While she’s been able to call many places home across Asia, Latin America, and the US, she’s now currently based in Greater Phoenix, Arizona.

OVER THE COURSE OF THE RETREAT WEEK YOU WILL...

  • Stay in one of the most aesthetic, design-forward airbnbs in Panama (one of the owners/hosts is actually a former architectural designer!)

  • Learn hands-on how to shoot high-quality and engaging hotel and airbnb content

  • Have workshops on the entire creative process of a hotel/airbnb content creation including:

    • Pre-production planning and shot lists

    • Filming tips and hands-on guidance

    • Editing tips and walkthroughs

    • Asset storage and management

    • Publishing + delivering final content optimized for socials

  • Create your own hotel & airbnb portfolio at the luxury property with at least three edited Reels and a collection of edited photos that you can use to pitch to other properties in the future to show them examples of what you can produce for them

  • Experience Bocas del Toro through offsite adventures and experiences including an island hopping tour and bioluminescent tour

  • Enjoy private chef meals at a luxury property, as well as dining at beachside restaurants to get food and beverage content to include in your final videos

  • Engage in wellness activities, such as yoga classes and a cacao ceremony at the eco-luxury property to incorporate wellness into the retreat experience and your content

  • With one of the final videos you create, do an official Instagram collaboration post with this airbnb property (@casabotanicapanama)

  • International flight to Cancun, Mexico

  • Ferry from Cancun to Isla Mujeres

  • Transportation to/from Casa Vaya Vida before/after the retreat

  • Travel insurance (highly recommended)

  • Meals in town/outside of the private chef breakfasts, lunches, and dinners on property

RETREAT COSTS

To keep the creative retreat experience intimate and to allow enough time and attention for each attendee, there will only be five total retreat spots available. See the available options and pricing below:

Private Rooms (3 spots available):

  • Bedroom 1 (1 king bed): $4,750 USD

  • Bedroom 2 (1 king bed): $4,750 USD

  • Bedroom 3 (1 king bed): $4,750 USD

Shared Room (2 spots available):

  • Queen bed in shared room: $4,450 USD

  • Queen bed in shared room: $4,450 USD

Payment plans are available. $500 is due as a deposit upon acceptance into the retreat and the remaining fee will be split into four monthly installments.

  • The only major requirements are that you have a phone you can take social-first videos and photos on (ex: I use an iPhone 17 pro to film my content), as well as a computer to do your video editing on. I edit on my computer and will be teaching you my specific editing workflow that way, so it’ll helpful if you have your own to bring.

    Additionally, I definitely want to make sure this will be a group of creators that vibe well, so positive juju is always a plus, as well as people that truly want to learn, are ambitious, focused on growth, and of course value creativity, connection, and adventure.

  • I will take your answers from the application you filled out into consideration and ensure that what you’re looking for in the retreat experience and what we’re offering aligns so neither of us are wasting any time or money.

    Like we mentioned above, we really want this to be a space full of like-minded individuals focused on learning, growth, adventure, etc., and those that are committed to getting better in their craft and taking their content to the next level.

  • Yes, this Isla Mujeres retreat will be for women only.

  • There will be:

    • Bedroom 1 (Private): This room has one king bed and sleeps one person.

    • Bedroom 2 (Private): This room has one king bed and sleeps one person.

    • Bedroom 3 (Private): This room has one king bed and sleeps one person.

    • Bedroom 4 (Shared): This room has two queen beds and sleeps two people.

  • Due to the nature of the retreat — being an international jaunt with lots of pre-planning involved — there will be no refunds on the retreat fee once you fill a spot and you submit that first payment. So please make sure to only sign up if you’re sure you can make it.

  • Yes! After you submit your creator application, get accepted, and sign the retreat agreement you will receive a link to pay for your spot.

    There will be a $500 deposit due that day.

    You can pay in full or opt to enroll in a payment plan. The payment schedule to pay for the remainder of the retreat fee will go as follows:

    • December 15, 2026

    • January 15, 2027

    • February 15, 2027

    • March 15, 2027

  • The easiest and most convenient way is:

    1. Fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN).

    2. Take either a taxi or pre-booked shuttle (I recommend the pre-booked shuttle option) to take you to one of the Cancun ferry ports such as Puerto Juarez, Playa Tortugas, or Playa Caracol.

    3. Take the Ultramar Ferry from the Cancun port of your choosing across to Isla Mujeres. You can buy your ticket in advance online.

    4. Once you arrive to Isla Mujeres, take a short taxi ride from the ferry port to Casa Vaya Vida and I’ll welcome you there. :)
